the devil and tom walker

values: thankful / trustworthiness 

In this essay i am going to talk about the values of thankful and trustworthiness and how this values are presented in this story.

 In this story "the devil and tom walker" at the beginning dont present this values. The value of trustworthiness is not present because here we can see that nobody trust in each other, like the character of tom walker that dont trust even in his wife, but at the same time this value is presented in some parts of the story, like when the people of the town trust in tom with their buisness, also at the first time tom dont trust in the devil , because he think that this was an act of his wife to take all his richs, but then he started to shown trustworthiness with the devil because he started like a deal or treat with him.

the value of thankful is also not presemted in this story bacause all the characters, were really bad people and they only care in their own good, like tom walker that was really  a selfish, rude and bad person, he only cares in his self, he always wanted to have more and more, he was never satisfaced with what he has, also he was really bad with his wife , he never thanks for the the good things he has and the good wife that he has. I also see in this story that tom was a person that was never thankful to the people or surround him, he only cares in his own wealth, goods or money.

To concluss with this values, i think that this values was only shown in certain parts of the story but they also were not shown or express in the story, i think that all the characters and all the ones in the story doesnt care about the really important things, they dont shown to have trustworthiness and thankful with other people, they only wanted to have more moeny and more wealth, and for this reason i thnik nthat tom has died, because he only cares in his self , he never show thankful to the rest of the people , even on his wife or on the devil and for this is that devil put like a lesson on tom waljker. Thats why is really important to have this values of trustworthiness and thankful.
